The Chemistry of Wine Revealed
About the Event
Helnium presents a unique event where science, art, and wine meet. The event takes place at Château de la Rose d’Or, one of the most renowned wine estates in Switzerland, led by Jean-Michel Walther, widely recognized as one of the country’s most respected winemakers. Through chemistry and microscopy, the natural crystal structures hidden in wine are revealed and transformed into artworks. For this special collaboration, crystalline images of the wine will also be printed directly on the wine labels, creating a unique connection between science, art, and the wine itself. Visitors will discover the scientific beauty of wine through exhibitions, tastings, live artistic creation and collector scientific object.

Thursday, May 28
Vernissage – 7:00 PM : Opening of the Helnium exhibition, presenting artworks created from chemical crystallization, including wine crystals. Wine tasting from the estate.
Friday, May 29
Evening event – 7:00 PM : Presentation of the chemistry of wine and the formation of natural wine crystals. Exhibition and tasting.
Saturday, May 30
Main Event – 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
The main day of the event bringing together science, wine and artistic creation.

Discover the history of Château de la Rose d’Or, one of Switzerland’s renowned wine estates. Jean-Michel Walther will present the philosophy of the domain, its vineyards and the unique identity of its wines.
⚛️ Talk by Hélène Lambert : Founder of Helnium
A short presentation on the hidden beauty of chemical structures in nature. Through the observation of wine crystals and molecular structures, this talk explores how thermodynamics and natural laws shape forms of objective harmony. These structures inspire a new vision of design rooted in nature, where chemistry becomes a source of creativity for art, fashion, jewelry and material design.

When registering, please indicate which date you would like to attend: May 28, May 29, or May 30. Each guest must register individually, even if you are coming with someone. Children accompanying their parents do not need to register separately. As places are limited, we recommend reserving in advance.
Helnium au bord du lac
Après le succès de la première édition, Helnium – Au bord du Lac revient au bord du lac de Genève pour une nouvelle exposition éphémère. Cette exposition invite le public à découvrir les éléments qui nous composent et qui forment l’univers. À travers la chimie des cristaux, des réactions et des observations au microscope, les œuvres révèlent la beauté cachée de la matière et la manière dont elle se structure. Entre expérimentation scientifique et démarche artistique, Helnium propose une expérience ouverte à toutes et à tous : un moment de curiosité, de partage et de découverte, au cœur de Genève.

Vernissage en plein air – Helnium au bord du lac
Un vernissage non officiel, ouvert à tous les passants. Cinq œuvres de la collection Helnium seront exposées en plein air au bord du lac, à côté du bar La Trempette (près de l’Hôtel Wilson, Genève). Une occasion unique de découvrir l’art cristallin dans un cadre naturel, entre ciel, eau et lumière.
